Liverpool will reportedly step up their interest in Bolton winger Chung-Yong Leeand look to tempt the South Korean into considering leaving the Reebok Stadium for Anfield this summer. The talented winger has been a big hit since his arrival to the Premier League two years ago and the signing of the Far East star would help to fulfil the desire of new club sponsors Standard Chartered who stated publicly their hopes of just such a signing.
22 year old right winger Lee has been a regular in the Trotters first team for the past two seasons and has weighed in with his fair share of goals and assists and could add more natural width to the Liverpool midfield an area that Kenny Dalglish is reportedly keen to invest in that department when the transfer window re-opens.
Owen Coyle will be loathed to lose £8m rated Lee but Bolton apparently have some financial problems to address and may have to consider the sale of their more bankable assets with the likes of Gary Cahill also said to be a Liverpool target.
The England international centre back is a known Liverpool target as the Merseyside club look to beef up a back line that has two veterans in Jamie Carragher and Sotirios Kyrgiakos and injury prone Daniel Agger among their central defensive options so a move to bring in the consistent Bolton defender would be a wise one.
The 25 year old Sheffield born former Aston Villa man is also a target of North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.
