The last three meetings between these two teams (Newcastle and Liverpool) have lead to 13 goals.
Newcastle having scored just 4 and having won just one game. Liverpool will certainly feel they have the upper hand this time around, as they look to build on their 5-0 victory over Birmingham.
Liverpool's record signing will be facing his former club. He (Carroll), as anyone might expect will be the subject of talk for most football pundits whether or not he plays. Carroll had apparently jarred his knee whilst playing against the gunners, one of 3 Liverpool players who got injured in that match. The others being Jamie Carragher and Fabio Aurelio.
The English international is thought to be desperate to play against his former club, but it is King Kenny's decision that matters in the end, as many kopites say, "in King Kenny we trust"!
One thing is for sure, Liverpool fans will have high expectations and will be expecting their team display another rampant performance.
